The Y. and M. Philibosian Armenian Evangelical College (Beirut, Lebanon) held its 92nd commencement exercises on June 29, 2019, on the school campus. After the Lebanese and the Armenian anthems, Rev. Hrayr Cholakian, Pastor of the First Armenian Evangelical Church of Beirut offered the scripture reading and prayer. The guest speaker was Mr. Armen Balian, a former student of AEC, and currently a conflict resolutions specialist and an instructor in AUB. During the ceremony, Elementary VI students recited and the school choir sang. Academic achievement awards were distributed. Valedictorian speech was delivered by Sandra Basset. Mr. Haig Kendirjian was awarded ա medal for his long years of service at the college. Principal Dr. Armen Urneshlian delivered the peroration. 14 veteran alumni (who had graduated AEC before 60+ years) took special diplomas and plaques, from the pastor and the chairman of the Board of Trustees Mr. Nercess Baghdoyan. The ceremony ended with the Pastoral Benediction of Rev. Cholakian.
